Share Experience (EITI Mozambique and Timor-Leste EITI)


Delegates EITI Mozambique have an official visit to Timor-Leste on 29 July till 2 August 2014 with objective to
learning
and exchange of experiences particularly in regard to how Timor-Leste are managing to implement EITI process to become compliant  and  how MSG point of view to implement the new EITI standard
.

H.E Alfredo Pires, Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals Resources expressed it was grateful to welcome delegations EITI Mozambique, we are committed to share experience to any  countries that intend to implement EITI and improve good governance in natural resources, as Timor-Leste is leading of CPLP, it is our obligation to help other CPLP members like Mozambique.

Timor-Leste Share Experience with the Government Vietnam in Regards to the EITI Implementation

  

The Government of Timor-Leste through Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources His Excellency Alfredo Pires received an invitation from the Government of Vietnam through Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to participate in high level workshop "Governance on Extractive Industries" in Hanoi on 8 October 2013.

Republic of Ghana invited Republic Democratic of Timor-Leste, through Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals Resources (Secretariat TL-EITI) to participated Regional EITI Conference on " Natural Resources Governance : Setting Standard with EITI" in Ghana, Accra which is toke place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, on 27-28 September 2012.

With this conference the peoples of Ghanaian and other countries can share and learn experience, bring over EITI implementation countries including Timor-Leste, NGO, Oil Companies, International Secretariat and members of Government as speakers;

Solomon Island and PNG

 

The World Bank (WB) offices in Solomon Island and Papua New Guinea (PNG) invited small team from Timor-Leste to participate workshop on 26-27 January in Solomon Island 02-03 February 2012 in PNG. The Team comprised of two representatives from TL-EITI Secretariat and Civil Society and one representative from National Petroleum Authority.

The objective of the workshop was to share information and an experience regarding to the EITI implementation in Timor-Leste since the initial and up to designated as compliant countries and moving to beyond EITI.
